The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) deployed a patrol craft to guide the ferry back to Singapore. The ferry sustained damage to its bow above the waterline but remained operational. A passenger shared a video showing the tanker passing close to the ferry's front just before the collision. The tanker reported no damage. The MPA has launched an investigation into the incident.
