On October 5, 2025, the Singapore Police Force arrested seven men, aged between 28 and 53, for their suspected roles in running a transnational remote betting operation. The investigation began in March 2023 after police received multiple reports from individuals who had been enticed to open accounts with an online gambling website. The victims were instructed to transfer money to anonymous bank accounts in exchange for gambling credits.
