Australian Tourist Sentenced to Jail for Assault on Singapore Security Officer

Tourist Craig Clive Hilton, a 40-year-old Australian, was sentenced to six weeks' jail for assaulting a security officer at Louis Kienne Serviced Residences in Singapore.

Hilton, affected by alcohol and angered by an argument with his partner, confronted the security officer to inquire about his partner's location.

When the officer refused to disclose the information, Hilton pushed him to the ground, punched, and kneed his face.

The incident, captured on CCTV, occurred after Hilton had consumed alcoholic drinks.

He expressed remorse in court, acknowledging there was no justification for his actions.

The security officer suffered mild injuries.
