Three women arrested in massage parlour raid in Jurong East

 




Three women, aged 27 to 46, working at massage parlours in Jurong East were arrested for allegedly providing sexual services in a police raid on Nov 29 and Dec 12.

Two massage parlours were also found providing massage services without a valid license, and two parlours were detected for alleged vice-related activities.

Investigations involve four operators and three women.

Penalties for providing massage services without a valid license include fines up to $10,000, a jail term of up to two years, or both.

Repeat offenders may face a fine of up to $20,000, a jail term of up to five years, or both. Fines for failure to prevent employees from offering sexual services can be up to $5,000, with repeat offenders facing a fine of up to $10,000, a jail term of up to two years, or both.

Individuals involved in managing a place offering sexual services may be fined up to $100,000, jailed for up to five years, or both.

  Five individuals – four men and one woman – are set to be charged on May 6 for their alleged roles in operating brothels across Singapore. These individuals also face charges for other serious offences, including cheating and providing unlicensed payment services.
