Two Women and One Man Arrested for Brawl Breaks Out at Paya Lebar MRT Station

Two women and a man were arrested for affray after a brawl erupted near Paya Lebar MRT Station in Singapore. The incident, captured in social media videos, showed a physical altercation involving shoving and hitting. The police were alerted to the fight, and the 40-year-old and 45-year-old women, along with a 26-year-old man, were arrested for affray. SMRT Trains is cooperating with the police investigation. SIA Offers Over 300 Jobs to Retrenched Jetstar Asia Staff After Closure

On June 13, 2025, the Singapore Airlines (SIA) Group announced that it would offer employment opportunities to retrenched staff from Jetstar Asia, following the airline’s announcement that it will cease operations on July 31, 2025. Jetstar Asia had earlier revealed on June 11 that over 500 employees will be laid off due to the impending closure. In response, the SIA Group stated it would create over 300 positions within its own airline network to support the affected individuals. This includes 100 jobs for pilots and 200 positions for cabin crew, available across its entities including Scoot and Singapore Airlines.
