Singapore Private-Hire Driver Jailed for Voyeurism, Capturing Upskirt Videos of Passengers

Singapore private-hire driver, Low Jun Xian, has been sentenced to 12 weeks in jail for engaging in voyeurism by taking upskirt videos of female passengers.

Low, 36, pleaded guilty to four counts of voyeurism, admitting to capturing videos of female passengers in his private-hire vehicle between December 2022 and May 2023.

Additionally, he recorded at least 88 upskirt videos of female pedestrians on escalators between November 2022 and February 2023.

Low's actions were described as premeditated, and the court heard that he had planned to exploit situations where passengers would need to maneuver in his vehicle, briefly exposing themselves.

The penalty for voyeurism includes up to two years in jail, a fine, caning, or a combination of these punishments.
