CNB Arrests 13 & 14 Year Old Girls for Ice Abuse

On February 6, 2024, the Central Narcotics Bureau apprehended three teenage girls for drug abuse involving 'Ice'.

The arrests shed light on the Institute of Mental Health's 2022 Health and Lifestyle Survey, indicating that drug abuse often begins at a young age, with a significant portion starting before the age of 18.

The CNB officers first arrested a 14-year-old girl at her residence, where a stained packet was found, revealing her involvement in drug abuse since age 13.

Subsequent investigations led to the arrest of two 13-year-old girls, who had also abused drugs at the 14-year-old's home.

These incidents underscore the prevalence of drug consumption in residential settings, with curiosity cited as a common reason for experimentation.
