Former Transport Minister S Iswaran, facing corruption charges, has been permitted to extend his stay outside Singapore by 16 days due to illness.
Initially granted permission to be in Australia until March 4 to assist his son with university arrangements, Iswaran's lawyers applied for an extension after he fell ill.
The prosecution did not oppose the extension, contingent upon enhanced bail conditions.
Iswaran must now report daily on his medical condition via video call and obtain consent from his bailor for the extension.
He will surrender his passport on March 20, as per the terms.
