On Tuesday morning (Apr 16), a 12-year-old student was struck by a car while crossing the road outside Bukit View Secondary School.
The incident occurred at a pedestrian crossing along Bukit Batok Street 21 towards Bukit Batok Central around 7:05 am.
The girl was conscious when taken to the National University Hospital and has since been discharged.
The school's principal, Jaswant Singh, stated that they are providing support to the student and her family.
A 50-year-old male driver is cooperating with police investigations.
Video footage captured by SG Road Vigilante shows the girl running across the crossing as a traffic warden signals for vehicles to stop, but a white Honda Vezel fails to halt and collides with her, causing her to be propelled forward. ***Credits: Facebook - SG Road Vigilante
