Fatal Multi-Vehicle Crash in Tampines Leads to Arrest and Charges Against Driver

A tragic accident at the junction of Tampines Avenue 1 and Tampines Avenue 4 on the morning of April 22, 2024, involving four cars, a van, and a minibus, resulted in the deaths of a 17-year-old girl and a 57-year-old woman, both passengers.

Additionally, eight other individuals were injured and taken to the hospital. Following the incident, a 42-year-old male car driver was arrested after he was discharged from hospital and his driving license was suspended.

He will face charges in court on April 25, 2024, for dangerous driving causing death and hurt, failing to stop after the accident and other related offenses.

The ongoing investigation may lead to further charges.
