Man Arrested for Armed Robbery in Jalan Selamat (Kembangan)

Early on May 2nd, 2024, police responded to an armed robbery on Jalan Selamat where a 28-year-old man allegedly assaulted a victim and demanded S$5000, armed with scissors.

Authorities quickly identified and arrested the suspect within 16 hours, recovering S$3400 of the stolen cash. Charged under strict provisions of the Penal Code, the accused faces a severe penalty including a potential 20-year prison term and mandatory caning.
