A 27-year-old man will face charges on 2 May 2024 for allegedly trespassing into his ex-girlfriend's home and assaulting her, causing minor injuries.
The incident, reported to the police on 29 April 2024, occurred in Bukit Batok West Avenue 9. Following a swift investigation aided by police camera footage, the suspect was apprehended early on 1 May 2024.
He is charged with criminal trespass, which could lead to a three-month jail term or a $1,500 fine, and voluntarily causing hurt, punishable by up to three years in prison or a $5,000 fine.
The Police have zero tolerance towards offenders who threaten the safety of the community, and offenders will be dealt with sternly in accordance with the law.
