Singapore Father Sentenced to Over 34 Years for Fatal Abuse of Daughter and Neglect of Son

A Singaporean father was sentenced to 34.5 years in prison and 12 strokes of the cane after pleading guilty to the culpable homicide of his five-year-old daughter, Ayeesha, and the abuse of her younger brother.

The 44-year-old, whose name is withheld to protect the surviving child's identity, was accused of subjecting his children to extreme physical abuse and neglect, including confining them naked in a toilet for nearly 10 months.

The children were often used as outlets for his frustrations, suffering regular beatings and starvation.

Ayeesha succumbed to a fatal head injury in August 2017 after her father struck her face up to 20 times.

The case has been described by the judge as involving "inhumane, disgusting abuse," warranting a sentence that reflects the community's abhorrence.

The prosecution highlighted the severe physical, mental, and emotional trauma inflicted on the children, with Ayeesha's brother also suffering from malnutrition and developmental delays.

Investigations and court proceedings continue for the stepmother's role in the children's confinement and abuse.

Nightmare Passenger Pukes and WON'T Compensate!

A video featuring a sharp disagreement between a private hire vehicle driver and his passengers has become a widely viewed topic on social media, prompting a significant discussion about passenger accountability and operational costs for drivers. The recording shows a couple who appear to be intoxicated involved in a dispute with the driver over an incident that occurred during their trip. The driver states that one of the passengers became sick inside his vehicle, creating a mess that required professional cleaning. Following the completion of the journey, the driver requested a payment of one hundred and fifty dollars from the couple to cover the cleaning fee. The couple immediately rejected this demand. They argued that the amount was ridiculous and unreasonably high for the situation. The driver stood his ground, leading to a tense exchange that was captured in the video. The conflict reached a new level when the passengers declared their intention to file a formal report wit...
