45-Year-Old Man Arrested for Suspected Loanshark Harassment in Multiple Locations


 A 45-year-old man has been arrested for his suspected involvement in loanshark harassment. On September 11, 2024, the police responded to a report of harassment at a Yishun Ave 11 residence, where red paint was splashed, and a debtor’s note was left. Follow-up investigations led to the man’s arrest the next day, linking him to two other harassment cases in Jurong West and Hougang.

He faces charges under the Moneylenders Act and could face up to five years in jail, a fine, and caning. Police urge the public to avoid loansharks and report any suspicious activities.
