Man Arrested for Housebreaking and Theft in Woodlands

The police arrested a 36-year-old man on September 10, 2024, for suspected housebreaking and theft at a residential unit on Woodlands Ring Road. The incident occurred at around 2:15 am, and $450 in cash was allegedly stolen.

Officers from the Woodlands Police Division quickly responded and arrested the man at the scene, recovering the stolen cash in full.

The suspect will be charged with housebreaking to commit theft under Section 451 of the Penal Code, which carries a penalty of up to 10 years in prison and a fine.

The police also advise property owners to secure all entry points, install security systems like alarms or CCTVs, and avoid keeping large sums of cash or valuables on their premises.
