Singapore NSF Found Unconscious at Pasir Laba Camp, Pronounced Dead in Hospital

 


A full-time national serviceman (NSF) from the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) was found unconscious and unresponsive at Pasir Laba Camp on Friday evening. 

The Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) and Singapore Police Force (SPF) confirmed that the NSF was evacuated to Ng Teng Fong General Hospital by the SAF Ambulance Service but was pronounced dead despite resuscitation efforts. 

MINDEF and SPF clarified that the incident is not training-related, and preliminary investigations do not suggest foul play. 

The case has been classified as an unnatural death, with investigations ongoing. MINDEF and the SAF expressed their condolences to the serviceman's family and are providing support during this time of grief.

Singapore Teens Arrested for Rioting After Graphic Bullying Clip

  On July 10, 2025, Singapore police arrested five teenage boys aged between 12 and 15 for suspected rioting offences following a disturbing bullying incident in which one of the boys held a knife to another’s throat. The incident, which took place on July 6, came to light after a video of the assault surfaced on the social media platform Xiaohongshu on July 23. According to the police, two of the teens aged 13 and 15 were formally charged in court on July 16. They face charges of voluntarily causing hurt. The 15-year-old was further charged with carrying an offensive weapon in a public place, an offence that carries serious penalties under Singapore law. In the widely circulated video, a boy, believed to be the 15-year-old, is seen confronting a smaller-sized peer. Holding what appears to be a butterfly knife to the victim’s throat, he demands that the boy "tell the truth." When the victim insists he is not lying, the aggressor responds by slapping him hard across the face. ...

Fatal Accident in Five-Vehicle Pile-Up at Yishun Junction

  A 20-year-old male motorcyclist was killed in a multi-vehicle accident at the junction of Yishun Avenue 3 and Yishun Central on the night of December 14, around 10:20 PM. The accident involved two motorcycles, two cars, and a lorry. A second rider, a 19-year-old male motorcyclist, was taken conscious to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital. Tragically, the 20-year-old victim was pronounced dead at the scene by an SCDF paramedic. Police arrested a 38-year-old male driver for dangerous driving causing death. Three other individuals were assessed for minor injuries but declined hospitalization. Photos of the aftermath showed a badly damaged red car crashed into a lorry. Police investigations into the fatal incident are ongoing.
