Individuals found gambling with unlawful providers can face fines up to $10,000 or imprisonment for up to six months. Those running illegal betting operations face far more severe penalties, including fines of up to $500,000 and imprisonment of up to seven years. Agents involved in illegal operations may face fines up to $200,000 and imprisonment for up to five years.
Singapore Pools remains the only legal operator for sports betting, lotteries, and horse racing in Singapore. Members of the public are strongly advised to avoid illegal gambling activities and are encouraged to contact the National Council on Problem Gambling for support.
