On March 23, 2025, Singh Sagar, a 37-year-old Indian national, allegedly stole over $1,800 worth of goods from five stores in Changi Airport Terminal 3’s departure transit area. Between 2:00 pm and 4:50 pm, he is said to have committed thefts at WH Smith, The Cocoa Trees, Discover Singapore, Kaboom, and Victoria’s Secret.
Items allegedly stolen include three stationery sets, a power bank, boxes of chocolates worth over $238, jewellery, T-shirts, watches, and a handbag valued at $135.
Singh was detained by police before he could leave Singapore. On April 7, 2025, he was charged with five counts of theft. Authorities confirmed the arrest in a statement released on April 6.
He is expected to plead guilty in court on April 25, 2025.
