Aggressive Driver Swerves into Family Car, Curses 3 Children

On June 24, 2025, a viral social media post sparked public outrage after a disturbing road rage incident was reported by a motorist involving reckless driving and verbal abuse targeted at children. The incident allegedly unfolded while the reporting driver was travelling with three young children in the car.

According to the victim's account, the family vehicle was suddenly and dangerously cut off by another driver, who swerved aggressively into their lane without signaling or caution. The manoeuvre was described as abrupt and extremely reckless, putting the lives of the children and all occupants in the car at risk.

After managing to avoid a collision, the affected driver reportedly confronted the errant motorist to express concern and anger over the dangerous act particularly given the presence of minors in the car. However, the situation quickly escalated.

Instead of apologising or acknowledging the severity of his actions, the aggressive driver allegedly responded with hostile verbal abuse. What drew the most alarm from the public was the disturbing nature of his words, as he was reported to have cursed the children directly, wishing death upon all three. The statement was described as vile, unprovoked, and emotionally scarring, particularly for the children involved.

The video, which accompanied the post, does not show the full exchange but allegedly captured part of the confrontation and the abusive remarks. It was widely circulated on various platforms, drawing hundreds of comments expressing disbelief, anger, and calls for accountability.

Many netizens questioned how someone could act with such cruelty, especially toward innocent children who had no involvement in the road incident. Others highlighted that this behaviour went beyond typical road rage and bordered on verbal harassment and psychological abuse.

It is unclear if a police report has been filed at this time, though some social media users have urged the affected family to lodge a formal complaint and submit dashcam footage if available, to aid authorities in taking appropriate action.

Under Singapore law, dangerous or reckless driving can lead to prosecution under the Road Traffic Act, with penalties including fines, imprisonment, and license suspension. Additionally, harassment and threatening behaviour, especially when directed at minors, may constitute offences under the Protection from Harassment Act.

This case comes amid a broader rise in road rage-related incidents documented and reported via social media, where aggressive behaviour and dangerous manoeuvres are captured on dashcams or mobile phones. Public tolerance for such behaviour appears to be diminishing, especially when children or vulnerable persons are targeted.

As of June 25, no official statement has been issued by law enforcement agencies. It is also not known whether the identity of the offending driver has been established or if he has been approached for comment or investigation.

The online response has been swift, with many calling for stricter enforcement and harsher penalties for drivers who endanger lives or engage in verbal abuse, particularly when minors are involved.

New Punggol Northshore BTO Plagued by Water Seepage and Electrical Hazards

***Update: HDB, Maincon and Consultant has came down to the unit to check. Will update on status once we have more information. A Punggol Northshore BTO homeowner, who moved into his newly renovated flat in July 2024, has voiced frustration over severe water leakage issues that have left his unit unsafe and unlivable. Water has been observed seeping from an electrical powerpoint, with puddles forming on the floor and walls showing bubbling and signs of damage from moisture. The source of the leak appears to be an external wall adjacent to the master bedroom, according to assessments by the main contractor. However, the leakage has already caused significant damage to the flat's walls and paintwork, leaving the homeowner distressed. Adding to the frustration, the main contractor advised the homeowner to avoid using the affected power switches in the living room and bedroom due to the risk of a short circuit. Despite the warning, the homeowner has no choice but to turn on the light...

Crackdown on Illegal Ride-Hailing with 4 Drivers Caught in LTA Operation

In a recent operation conducted by the Land Transport Authority (LTA) of Singapore, four drivers were caught and had their vehicles impounded for providing illegal ride-hailing services. These unauthorized services operated both within Singapore and across the border to Malaysia, posing significant risks to passengers. The LTA has issued a stern warning to the public, advising against using such illegal services due to the lack of proper licensing and insurance, which can leave passengers vulnerable in the event of accidents. The operation underscores LTA’s commitment to ensuring the safety and regulation of ride-hailing services in Singapore. Drivers caught offering illegal ride-hailing services without a valid Public Service Vehicle (PSV) Licence face severe penalties, including fines of up to $3,000, imprisonment for up to six months, or both. These measures are in place to deter unlicensed operators and protect passengers from potential harm. Illegal ride-hailing services oft...
