Singapore authorities have launched an international manhunt for thirty-four individuals wanted in connection with a massive government official impersonation scam syndicate operating from Cambodia. The Singapore Police Force announced on October 29th that they are seeking twenty-seven Singaporean nationals and seven Malaysian citizens believed to be key participants in the criminal organization responsible for substantial financial losses.
According to police statements, the sophisticated scam network has targeted numerous Singaporean victims through government official impersonation schemes, resulting in at least 438 confirmed cases with total losses exceeding S$41 million. The elaborate operation functioned from a dedicated scam compound located in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, demonstrating the transnational nature of modern cybercrime organizations.
The identification of these suspects followed a successful joint operation conducted on September 9th between the Singapore Police Force and Cambodian National Police. This coordinated international effort targeted the criminal group's operational base in Cambodia and led to subsequent arrests in Singapore. Following the cross-border enforcement action, fifteen individuals—comprising twelve Singaporeans, two Malaysians, and one Philippine national—were taken into custody in Singapore and formally charged on September 11th and 12th for their involvement with a locally linked organized criminal group.
Through continued investigation and evidence collection from the Cambodian compound, authorities identified additional participants who had managed to evade initial capture. The Singapore Police Force is now collaborating with international law enforcement agencies, including Interpol, to locate and apprehend these thirty-four wanted individuals who are currently believed to be outside Singaporean jurisdiction.
The wanted Singaporean nationals have been identified as: Ng Wei Liang, Andrew Tay Jing An, Finan Siow, Francis Tan Thuan Heng, Jonathan Pek Ser Siang, Lam Yong Yan, Leon Chia Tee Song, Lim Ee Siong, Wong Yao Zong, Clarence Ng Jun Rong, Dilwin Tay Meng Wei, Dinesh, Kiang Wayne, Lam An Tuyen Daniel, Lim Jing En Kyan, Neo Zhi Bin, Ngiam Siow Jui, Phua Sheng Kai Audric, Poh Yang Ting, Sim Zong Yuan, Tan Darren, Tan Kai Siang, Tan Li Sen, Wayne Soh You Chen, Xavier Kho Yong Jun, Lee Jian Hao Jayen, and Sie Eng Fa Brian.
The seven wanted Malaysian citizens are named as: Tang Soon Fai, Kang Liang Yee, Tang Soon Wah, Hoe Ming Wei, Pang Han Ee, Bernard Goh Yie Shen, and Yip Chee Hoe.
Singapore police have emphasized their unwavering commitment to pursuing criminals who target Singaporean citizens, regardless of whether these operations are based domestically or overseas. The agency has established multiple channels for public assistance, including a dedicated hotline (1800-255-0000 for local callers and +65 6255 0000 for international contacts) and an online information submission portal. Authorities have assured that all information received will be handled with strict confidentiality as the international search continues for the identified suspects.
