A 50-year-old Singaporean man was arrested for drug offenses at the Singapore Cruise Centre on October 17, after officers detected anomalies in scanned images of his belongings. The Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) officers also noted that the man appeared nervous. The initial search uncovered a syringe, a sachet of suspected drugs, and seven items of drug paraphernalia, leading to his arrest after he tested positive for methamphetamine.
The case was referred to the Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB), which provided details on November 6 of further recoveries. A thorough CNB search revealed more controlled drugs, including five Erimin-5 tablets, three Ecstasy tablets, and 3.78 grams of Ice (methamphetamine), along with vape devices and additional paraphernalia. Subsequently, a search of the man’s home yielded a substantial further recovery of 15.5 grams of Ice and more drug paraphernalia. The CNB confirmed the arrest and stated that investigations are ongoing.
