On December 17, 2025, a fire broke out at Chiku Road at approximately 4:00am, involving several single-storey terrace units. Upon arrival, the Singapore Civil Defence Force discovered units 8, 10, and 12 on fire, with the blaze spreading to adjacent homes. To combat the fire and prevent further spread, seven water jets were deployed along with a Combined Platform Ladder for aerial support.
The fire was brought under control and extinguished by 6:45am. In addition to the three primary units, six adjoining terrace houses (units 2, 4, 6, 14, 16, and 18) sustained varying levels of burn damage. During the operation, police and emergency responders evacuated about 20 people from the area as a safety precaution. One individual required medical assessment for smoke inhalation and was subsequently conveyed to Singapore General Hospital. Damping down operations are currently being conducted at the location, and an investigation into the cause of the fire is underway.
