An enforcement operation in Jurong West on December 16, 2025, led by the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority, resulted in the arrest of four individuals. The group included three overstayers: one male Indian, one Filipina, and one female Nepalese, all aged between 26 and 35. These individuals had remained in the country after their social visit passes expired and are also suspected of working without valid permits. Alongside them, a 29-year-old male Indian was arrested for harbouring the offenders. He is accused of allowing the group to reside in his unit without verifying their legal immigration status.
The authorities emphasized that harbouring offenders is a serious crime, punishable by up to two years in prison and a fine of 6,000 dollars. The case remains under further investigation as part of ongoing efforts to manage the immigration offender situation and maintain national security through regular inland enforcement actions.
