Singaporean Woman Dies in Go-Karting Accident on Batam Island

A 33-year-old Singaporean woman, Arini Mohamed Adinan, tragically lost her life in a go-karting accident on Batam Island, Indonesia.

The incident occurred at Golden City Go-Kart in Bengkong during her holiday with friends.

Witnesses reported that Ms. Arini crashed into a tyre barrier while driving go-kart number 14 at high speed.

Despite wearing a "shower cap" as headgear, her long hair became entangled in the vehicle's rear tyre, leading to her demise.

Indonesian authorities are investigating the incident, and legal action may be taken if negligence by the operator is found.

The Singapore Ministry of Foreign Affairs is providing consular assistance to Ms. Arini's family during this difficult time. Rest in Peace Ms Arini.
