Six Bangladeshi nationals, aged between 30 and 39, were apprehended by the Police for their suspected involvement in a gang robbery incident along Nicoll Highway.
The incident occurred on February 12, 2024, where a 38-year-old victim was reportedly assaulted and robbed of cash and a handphone amounting to S$860.
Following intensive investigations by officers from Bedok Police Division, all six suspects were arrested on February 14, 2024, and the stolen handphone was recovered.
Five of the men will face charges of gang robbery, carrying penalties of imprisonment for up to 20 years and caning, while the sixth individual will assist the Police in further investigations.
The Police reaffirm their commitment to combatting such criminal activities and ensuring that offenders face appropriate legal consequences.
