Two Men Arrested for Robbery with Assault in Geylang

Two men, aged 28 and 29, have been apprehended by the police for their alleged involvement in a robbery with assault case along Lorong 15 Geylang.

The incident occurred on 25 February 2024, where the victim was reportedly assaulted and robbed of SGD 300 in cash, resulting in injuries that required hospitalization.

The suspects were identified through ground investigations and CCTV footage, leading to their arrest by officers from Bedok Police Division the following day.

They are set to face charges in court on 27 February 2024 under Section 394 of the Penal Code, which carries a potential imprisonment term of 5 to 20 years and caning of 12 strokes.

The police have emphasized their commitment to combat such criminal acts and bring offenders to justice.
