Rented Out His Bank Account for $1.8K, Ended Up in Prison!

A 34-year-old man who “rented out” his bank account for extra cash was sentenced to a year and nine months in jail after the account was used to receive over $3.3 million linked to illegal online gambling.

Kong Juu Wenn had been struggling with debt, owing money on bank loans and to unlicensed moneylenders. In mid-2022, he came across a Telegram advertisement offering payment for renting out bank accounts. The post included contact details for someone named “Mars.”

Curious about the offer, Kong contacted Mars and was told he would receive $600 per month for every bank account he provided. On July 8, 2022, he opened a new bank account and shared the details with Mars via WhatsApp.

Between July and November 2022, more than $3.3 million was deposited into the account, with most of the funds being withdrawn soon after. Kong received $600 per month from August to October but did not receive further payments after that.

Despite realizing that the account was facilitating illegal gambling transactions, Kong continued to let it be used, receiving a total of $1,800.

Court documents did not specify how authorities discovered his involvement, but he was charged in 2025.

On March 19, 2025, he pleaded guilty to one count of dealing with the benefits of criminal conduct. His bail was set at $15,000, and he is expected to begin serving his sentence on April 2, 2025.

Nightmare Passenger Pukes and WON'T Compensate!

A video featuring a sharp disagreement between a private hire vehicle driver and his passengers has become a widely viewed topic on social media, prompting a significant discussion about passenger accountability and operational costs for drivers. The recording shows a couple who appear to be intoxicated involved in a dispute with the driver over an incident that occurred during their trip. The driver states that one of the passengers became sick inside his vehicle, creating a mess that required professional cleaning. Following the completion of the journey, the driver requested a payment of one hundred and fifty dollars from the couple to cover the cleaning fee. The couple immediately rejected this demand. They argued that the amount was ridiculous and unreasonably high for the situation. The driver stood his ground, leading to a tense exchange that was captured in the video. The conflict reached a new level when the passengers declared their intention to file a formal report wit...
