Two Taxis Crash Near Sengkang: Cabby, 73, Injured and Rushed to Hospital

 



A severe road traffic accident involving two taxis, a red Trans-Cab and a blue ComfortDelGro vehicle occurred in the early hours of November 21, 2025, along Upper Serangoon Road towards Sengkang East Drive. The collision resulted in injuries to one driver, an elderly man, who was subsequently taken to the hospital.

The Incident and Aftermath

The police confirmed they were alerted to the accident at approximately 3:05 am. The crash involved a 73-year-old Trans-Cab driver and a 53-year-old ComfortDelGro driver.

The aftermath was captured in two videos uploaded to TikTok by user @shengyuearomatheapyco:

  • Injured Driver: In one video, the 73-year-old driver of the red Trans-Cab is visibly struggling to move while still in the driver’s seat. He was seen holding on to the car’s grab handle for support. A person filming the video can be heard providing reassurance, instructing him to "stay still and that an ambulance is on the way."

  • Scene of Damage: The two vehicles came to rest on opposite sides of a road divider. The blue ComfortDelGro taxi had its hazard lights flashing. Evidence of a high-impact collision was clear, with skid marks visible on the road leading up to the Trans-Cab, and pieces of car debris strewn across the divider.

Injuries and Investigation Status

The 73-year-old Trans-Cab driver sustained injuries and was taken conscious to Sengkang General Hospital. Both taxi companies released statements regarding the status of the passengers and drivers:

  • ComfortDelGro: A spokesperson confirmed that its driver (53-year-old) and the passenger on board at the time of the accident were uninjured. The company is cooperating with the police.

  • Trans-Cab: A spokesperson confirmed its driver sustained injuries, but his passenger was unscathed.

The 53-year-old ComfortDelGro driver is currently assisting the police with their ongoing investigations to determine the exact cause and sequence of events leading up to the collision.

Fatal PIE Crash: 27-Year-Old Motorcyclist Dies After Collision with Car

  A 27-year-old motorcyclist died following a serious accident with a car on the Pan-Island Expressway (PIE) on November 10. The police and Singapore Civil Defence Force were alerted to the collision, which occurred on the PIE towards Changi Airport after the Lorong 6 Toa Payoh exit, at around 10:20 am.
