Former Movie Actor Killed in Violent Confrontation at Geylang

A shocking tragedy has occurred in Geylang where a seventy year old part time actor lost his life in a violent knife attack. The incident happened on the morning of March 9 2026 at Geylang Lorong 16. The victim Chew Ling Hui was well known for his role in the local movie Geylang and was a familiar face in the neighborhood.

According to witnesses a forty eight year old man who worked as a delivery rider confronted the elderly man near a religious shrine. The two had reportedly been in a dispute since the day before. During the struggle a knife was used and the suspect allegedly stabbed the victim over twenty times. A woman working nearby witnessed the attack and screamed for the man to stop but he continued the assault. A monk also tried to help the victim escape but the attacker could not be stopped.

The victim was rushed to the hospital but unfortunately passed away. The suspect was also injured during the fight.

Police are currently investigating this brutal incident which has left the local community and the film industry in mourning.
