Elderly Coffee Shop Patron Suffers Severe Back Pain Following Altercation

A viral social media post has sparked concern and calls for justice following an incident at a local coffee shop involving an elderly man in his seventies. According to the post published by the elderly man's family the incident occurred when the elderly patron who suffers from pre-existing leg and hip injuries was walking through the establishment. Closed-circuit television footage reportedly captured the elderly man struggling to walk and using nearby tables for physical support as he navigated the space.

As the elderly man passed by a table where a family was seated he briefly reached out and patted a young child on the head. The post states that the child's father became upset by this gesture and immediately confronted the elderly patron. In the visual footage described by the family the elderly man appeared to try to explain his actions and de-escalate the situation during the initial verbal exchange.

The situation then escalated into a physical confrontation. According to the allegations in the post the child's father physically confronted the elderly man causing him to fall to the ground. Family members of the elderly patron who were present at the coffee shop rushed over to assist him in getting back up. While the family members were angered by the altercation and intended to confront the man further the elderly victim urged them to stand down insisting he was fine and expressing a desire not to pursue the matter any further.

Following the fall the child's father reportedly sat down with the elderly man offered an apology and bought him a drink. However the elderly man's family emphasized in their social media appeal that an apology and a drink are insufficient to address the physical consequences of the encounter. The post notes that the elderly victim is now experiencing severe back pain as a result of the fall adding to his existing mobility challenges.

The victim's family expressed deep distress over the situation stating that their father who already faced physical difficulties was now suffering from an outcome that should have been managed through calm communication. Although the elderly man initially tried to let the incident pass his family decided to share the details and CCTV context online in order to identify the child's father and seek appropriate justice for their relative.

The social media post clarifies that the family is not seeking public harassment or confrontational actions against the man involved. Instead they are requesting that anyone with information or who recognizes the individual reach out via direct message so that the matter can be addressed through proper channels. The post has been widely shared across online platforms with many netizens expressing sympathy for the elderly man and calling for the relevant authorities to look into the matter to determine if any criminal non-compliance or physical hurt occurred. As this report is based on allegations originating from an online post official police confirmation or further details regarding potential investigations have yet to be publicly released.

Rare Malayan Tapir Spotted at Lorong Halus

In a rare and exciting wildlife update an endangered Malayan tapir was spotted at Lorong Halus on the morning of March 19 2026. A cyclist who was passing through the area captured video of the majestic animal as it calmly foraged near a grassy patch. Initially thinking it was a wild boar the cyclist was surprised to find it was actually a tapir which he described as larger than expected and very majestic. After a few minutes of being watched the shy animal jumped through a railing and headed back into the Serangoon River forest. Malayan tapirs are actually quite rare in this part of the world and are not native to the local area. Experts believe they swim across from Malaysia using islands as pit stops. This sighting follows another one from February this year at a Defu Lane carpark and several sightings in Punggol back in 2023. There are currently fewer than 2,500 of these animals left in the wild making them an endangered species. If you happen to see one remember to stay calm ...
