A 32-year-old Chinese man will be charged in court with murder on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, following a violent stabbing incident at Telok Blangah Heights that left a 73-year-old Chinese man dead and a 53-year-old Chinese man injured. The Singapore Police Force confirmed that emergency services received calls for assistance in the vicinity of Block 61 Telok Blangah Heights at approximately 6:00 PM on Monday, October 5, 2026.
Upon arriving at the scene within ten minutes, responding police officers located a 73-year-old Chinese man lying motionless on the ground floor near Block 61. Alongside him, officers found a second victim, a 53-year-old Chinese man, who had sustained physical injuries. Officers from the Singapore Civil Defence Force provided immediate medical assistance and transported both individuals to Singapore General Hospital for urgent medical care. According to authorities, the 53-year-old victim was conscious when conveyed to the hospital, while the 73-year-old man succumbed to serious injuries and subsequently died.
Shortly after police arrived, the 32-year-old suspect contacted the authorities via telephone to surrender himself. Police officers moved swiftly to locate and arrest the suspect in the immediate vicinity of the scene, recovering a knife believed to have been used in the attack.
