Give Chicken Wing, Take Back Whole Chicken Theory: Electricity Price Hike Since 2020! | EP 2

Have you noticed your electricity bill creeping up?  Wondering why running the same appliances costs you so much more now? Well, let me break it down for you—since the last General Election in 2020, electricity prices have skyrocketed by 46%! And guess what? Nobody’s really talking about it. But today, I will. This is not speculation, not politics—just cold, hard numbers that you can verify yourself. If you don’t believe me, Google the electricity prices from 2020 and compare them to 2025. Give Chicken Wing, Take Back Whole Chicken Theory"—Let’s see just how much has been taken back from us!" Ever since I started creating content, I kept hearing claims about the cost of living going up. So, I did my own research. The deeper I went, the more shocking it got. Let’s talk about electricity. In July 2020, during the elections, the tariff was 19.60 cents per kWh. Fast forward to March 2025, it’s now 28.12 cents per kWh. That’s an estimated 46% increase—after adding th...

Neighbours Suffer as HDB Leak Goes Unfixed for 2 Years!

An elderly woman has been forced to vacate her home after a persistent water leak from the unit above left her flat uninhabitable for over two years. The issue, which originated from the unit above hers at Block 105 Henderson Crescent, has caused severe structural damage, affecting not only her home but also her neighbor's. The woman's 54-year-old son, Chen Jun, shared that the family has lived in the unit for five decades. The first leak occurred four years ago when a burst pipe flooded their kitchen. Despite repairing the damage and renovating the unit, the leak re-emerged two years later. At first, the family believed the issue was within their own home and reported it to the Housing and Development Board (HDB). However, investigations later revealed that the source was the unit above. To mitigate the issue, HDB suggested injecting polyurethane (PU) sealant as a temporary measure, and multiple rounds of injections were carried out. Despite these efforts, the water leakage ...

Chee Soon Juan’s Northern Strategy: SDP’s Election Plan Revealed

The Singapore Democratic Party (SDP) has confirmed its intention to contest Marsiling-Yew Tee Group Representation Constituency (GRC) in the upcoming General Election, party chief Chee Soon Juan stated on March 30. This marks SDP’s third consecutive attempt at winning the GRC, where Prime Minister Lawrence Wong is the anchor Member of Parliament (MP). SDP had previously contested Marsiling-Yew Tee GRC in the 2015 and 2020 elections, securing 31.27% and 36.82% of the vote, respectively. With 119,352 voters in the constituency for the upcoming election, the party hopes to build on its previous performance. SDP treasurer Surayah Akbar has been actively engaging residents on social media, fueling speculation about her potential candidacy. However, Dr Chee remained non-committal when asked whether she would be fielded, stating that an official announcement would be made later. The party has been focusing on what Dr Chee calls a “northern strategy” for the 2025 election. This includ...

Meet the New PAP Candidates in Sengkang GRC

The People’s Action Party (PAP) has been actively engaging residents in Sengkang GRC, with a new team of potential candidates working the ground since 2022. This comes as the party seeks to regain the constituency it lost in the 2020 General Election. Former senior minister of state Lam Pin Min, who was part of the losing team in 2020, has continued to be active in Sengkang West. He is now joined by new PAP branch chairpersons—Theodora Lai, Associate Professor Elmie Nekmat, and Bernadette Giam. During a walkabout on March 30, Dr Lam emphasized the team’s commitment to engaging residents. He noted that despite being a new team, they had been walking the ground consistently over the past few years. He acknowledged that reclaiming a constituency is always a challenge, but the team’s dedication speaks for itself. Ms Lai, 39, is a principal at private equity firm Tembusu Partners, while Prof Elmie, 43, is a communications and new media academic. Mrs Giam, 38, is a director at local fo...

Give Chicken Wing, Take Back Whole Chicken Theory: Water Price Hike Since 2020! | EP 1

Have you ever felt like you’re paying more for everything but can’t quite put your finger on how much? Well, what if I told you that since the last General Election in 2020, your water bill alone has gone up by a ridiculous 20%—and there’s more to come? This isn’t speculation. These are facts. Facts that, for some reason, aren’t being widely talked about. And today, I’m going to break it all down for you. Give Chicken Wing, Take Back Whole Chicken! Let’s see just how much has been taken back since 2020! Since becoming a content creator, I’ve heard the opposition warning about the rising cost of living. Curious, I did my own digging. What I found was shocking—the cost of essentials has skyrocketed, yet many people don’t even realize the true extent of it. Let’s start with water. The price per 1000 litres went up by 20 cents in 2024, and in April 2025, it’ll jump another 30 cents. That’s a total of 50 cents per 1000 litres. Sounds small, right? But when you add GST and look at y...

When going through immigration clearance, Wei failed the facial recognition scan, prompting additional checks by the ICA officer. During questioning, he claimed to be in Singapore for leisure and stated that he would stay for about ten days. Mr Wong highlighted that while it would be easier to contest the election with the existing PAP team, the long-term consequences of failing to introduce new leadership would be significant. He stressed that the lack of renewal might not immediately impact governance within the next five years but could weaken Singapore’s political foundation in the long run. "In the end, if that were to happen, it is not just the PAP, but Singapore and Singaporeans that will pay the price," he said. To ensure continuity and prepare for future challenges, Mr Wong has been active...
