A 63-year-old married father of three, Ong Eng Siew, pleaded guilty to attempted murder after attacking his former lover’s new boyfriend, Mr. Ku Teck Eng, with a knife on 23 Jan 2024. The violent incident occurred at the void deck of Block 407, Choa Chu Kang Avenue 3, on June 12, 2021. Mr. Ku, then 52, suffered severe injuries, including a chest wound that lacerated his heart's left ventricle. Emergency surgery saved his life, but the injuries could have been fatal.
